Welcome to another Merry Monday Christmas Challenge!

Kathy has a cute picture of a bird for our inspiration and you can use any kind of bird!

Of course when I think Christmas, I think Cardinal...I suppose because it is red!

I am still playing with watercolor paints!  Hope you aren't too bored by that!

And of course there is my red cardinal!!

So sorry for the totally UNCLEAR picture...I am just getting this in before we head out to the airport for our flight to Hawaii!!

Merry Monday # 181 Blue & White with Texture

Hi friends, 

Welcome to another Merry Monday Christmas Challenge!

Our sweet creator and owner of this challenge has given us an awesome picture to use for our inspiration this time!

You might ask where my texture is, and I did use watercolor paper...Tim Holtz to be exact and it does have texture to the paper, then I also embossed the clusters of snowflakes with WOW! Bright white embossing powder!

25 Days of Christmas Tags Day 21

Day 21, I can't hardly believe it...seems like just yesterday I made my first tag...

The 25 Days of Christmas Tags will continue until the 26th...

I chose Kim Bell's tag to copy!  My snowflake is from Casual Fridays, which I embossed with white EP, then used distress ink and finally a splattering of Gesso watered down.

Sadly, this may be my last tag unless I have some time to go back and look at other inspirations...I leave tomorrow morning for Hawaii!!  Sad me, I know!  the whole family is going so we are happy to spend the time with all the daughters, SIL's and the grandchildren of course!

Day 20 of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags Challenge is sponsored by Some Odd Girl...she has not only 'girls' but animals too...she colored a darling puppy.  I do not have any of her stamps, but I did decide to color up an MFT stamp and ink of the background like Kimberly did, couldn't resist a bit of snowflakes in the background, since she caught one!  *wink

Well, surprise ME, I looked at the tags and was drawn to one in particular and so I went about pulling papers and dies to make it work.  Now as I am about to post it I had to go back and see who made it...of course, Kay Miller!!  I love everything she makes!!

 

25 Days of Christmas Tags ~ Day 18

Pretty Pink Posh was the sponsor today over at Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags, lots of awesome tags!

I adored Julia's tag so I tried to replicate it...sponged on some Distress inks on the bottom, then used an MFT brick stencil with some ripe persimmon ink.  The stockings are from a  Paper Smooches set called Merry Motifs (the sentiment also).

Ho Ho, get your party on people!!

The challenge at Seize the Birthday is to use acetate or vellum!

I couldn't resist doing another shaker card, especially since I purchased the "Fuse" tool which makes it so easy to seal up all those sprinkles to shake!

The cute little monkey is from PTI "Tremendous Treats", I guess his arm is hiding behind all the string (*wink!)

I saw Nina-Marie's and I thought I could duplicate it, sure could, ended up having that exact stamp set that I received from the Stamps of Approval Holiday set!

I heat embossed the sentiment form the set with Rangers Liquid Platinum EP.

Merry Monday # 180 ~ A Reindeer!

Welcome to another Merry Monday Christmas Challenge!
Debbie chose the inspiration this time...I love reindeer and this one is a cutie!

I embossed the star and Christmas trees with 'leaf' zing ep and WOW gold sparkle embossing glitter for the star, then I used some distress inks to get my background.

25 Days of Christmas Tags Day 14 & Curtain Call

Day 14 of Tracey's  25 Days of Christmas Tags...can you believe it?

Tracey asked me if I will have presents for all these tags and I just want to say, I sure hope not!!  But I give a lot away.  For the last several years I have given my hairdresser about 15 tags, and this year I have three close friends that I will package up and give tags to them.

So they will be put to good use...not only that, but for my grandkids and even the adults, I save the tags every year and just reuse them!!

So this day is all about having a fox on your tag!

Luckily there is a little fox in the Warmest Wishes set from PTI, along with those trees.

I colored them up with copics, but then added some icicle stickles to the trees and little dots for snow flakes!

 

This has been a busy Sunday and I really need to put my feet up and take a nap before I have another obligation tonight!!

25 Days of Christmas Tags Day 13 #2 tag

While I had the Clearly Besotted stamp out, I decided to cut a few more, stamp the flower, make a different size tag and also add a leaf from a PTI Poinsettia stamp set.

I have ONE Christmas stamp from Clearly Besotted and it is this poinsettia stamp, actually has a couple different sizes of flowers...and the sentiment is from the same stamp set.

25 Days of Christmas Tags ~ Day 12

Day 12 Tracey welcomes Poppystamps to help her bring more Christmas tags inspiration.

I loved Marybeth's card and she said she colored the paper before cutting out her trees.

I did just that too...took three different green Distress Inks and sponged on the paper.

Then I stamped and die cut this Verve Tree die.  As you can see I also used a red tag and a Lawn Fawn stitched tag to make the hillside.

 

I made three of them!

I have a friend who has a collection of these and they are ALL colors, so really anything goes with those trees!
