MIM # 235 Adding color to Stamped Images

Laurie has a video up at the current Make It Monday,
she shows adding color to stamped images using pencils and gamsol or an ink blending solution.
Hi friends, I have added copics to highlight stamped images, but had not used prisma pencils and an ink blending solution.  So I gave it a try.
I stamped the flowers with Berry Sorbet and then went back and added a darker red in the center from the prisma colored pencils called rouge.  Then using a fantastic dipped in the ink blending solution I spread the color out, it really does help give dimension and added color to the images. I did the same with the little leaves.

Merry Monday # 185 Boots!

Hi friends, are you ready for another Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge?
Just wait until you see this darling photo inspiration that Nina has provided for us.
I had to go hunting for some boots and I found this cute digi at Cute As a Button!
Two little elves in Santa's boots!  Aren't they just so cute!
I colored them up with copics and then had to look for a sentiment that would fit on the top of the boot, I found it in a PTI stamp set called Holiday Home.
I used lots of Wink of Stella, plus a sparkly silver jelly roll pen for the Bells on the hat.
Now it is your turn to be inspired and play along with us!

SOA and Bring on the Snowflakes

This was stamped with the wonderful snowflake stamps from CASual Fridays :Bring on the Snowflakes!I stamped the whole background with them, then added the "bag" for my gift card.  I added a script die... sure would be fun to have snow for Christmas, but we do have it on the mountains and that was really needed!

Another Gift Card Holder using SOA

This time I pulled out Neat & Tangled: Bright Baubles.  I used all the little stamps meant for ornaments on the tree.  I stamped it in two shades of pink, my niece loves all things pink!  I had to add some silver to bring in a little shine! I added a piece of washi tape on the side.  And I embossed the stars in the background using HA silver ep.

Two done two to go...

My computer did an update all on its own, now it is NOT working!  I do not like working off a tablet to make my posts... I do NOT know how the script came to be on the side... it started out below the picture... oh my!!

Playing with SOA Holiday stamps

I had to make some gift card holders for family members, so I pulled out the dies from PTI's In the Bag and stamped it up with The Ton: Holiday Flourishes.  I used the outline holly stamps for the background along with the solid red cluster of berries.  I love the font on this sentiment also from the set.  The solid holly stamp was added to the pocket bag as well as a little flourish on the green "glove".  Okay one done three more to go...

One more for Tag You're It! # 36

These sweet little images are from Lawn Fawn:  Ready Set Snow!
I had to make a few extra tags because I decided to NOT put names on the gift boxes.  But don't worry I have a little cheat sheet that has each grand child's name and then the tag that belongs to them...I made two of the same tag for each child as I had two gifts per child.
They can come and shake all they want, but they won't know if they are shaking their gift or not!  My daughter Lacey told me the other day that her daughter Addie has already figured out every gift that is hers under the tree...of course Lacey is playing it cool but really?  She guessed correctly on each one!  So I am thinking if she doesn't know which gift box is hers, than she can't guess, right?
You can go HERE to play along with this tag challenge and the inspiration tag is by Joyce!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!  Hope you all are done with tags and cards for this year...I just finished wrapping my last gift, such a good feeling!

Tag You're It # 36

I hadn't used my Inkadinkado stamp that has several images on it and the reason I bought it was for the Santa and reindeer.  So this was the perfect opportunity to ink it up and join in this Tag You're It!  Challenge.
I sponged on some distress ink, then stamped the images with Momento Black ink.
the tag is a PTI Tag Sale: Quilted die

Here is the inspiration piece from Joyce!

Seize the Brrrr-thday!

Welcome once again friends for joining us at the
Seize the Birthday Challenge!
And we have a new guest designer with us.  We are welcoming TANJA as our Party Guest!

Please go check out her blog at
Little Art Cottage
Can you guess the topping this time?
We are asking for you to use a holiday stamp for your birthday card this time!
I pulled out my Impression Obsession "cover-a-card" PINE TREES.  I am loving this stamp!!
I stamped it in ripe avocado with the Misti, I stamped three times to get good coverage.
I die cut some Lawn Fawn Stitched hillside dies and taped them to the front.  My little sled is from PTI "Two Feet Deep".  For added snow I used my "irRESISTible" white pico embellisher all over the card, including the tree branches...then I dusted on some Doodlebug Sugar Coating: lily white glitter!  Do you know what my craft space has all over it and me now?  *wink*

I love that little sentiment...brrrrr-thday!!
I hope you will join us in making a birthday card with a holiday stamp.
Remember, you are always most welcome to make ANY kind of Birthday CARD!
And go check out all the other inspiration from the other members of the team!

Have a great weekend!
And thanks for stopping by!
